The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned a former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayodele Oke.

EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said the commission’s move to invite Oke for questioning is in furtherance to the anti-corruption agency’s investigative activities to unravel the circumstances surrounding the $43.45 million cash recovered in an Ikoyi Mansion.
Uwujaren said EFCC has invited Oke and his wife, Folashade who had earlier refused to honour previous invitations by the commission.
He also said the EFCC resumed its investigation on the matter following President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to relieve Oke of his position as the head of the NIA.
